Is all about providing Caring and Attentive Respite whilst Empowering you to take control of your own Support.
Finding out that you or a loved one has an illness is never easy to cope with and it can change your life in many ways. You can feel alone and scared and not have anyone to talk to openly about your thoughts, feelings and fears.
Taking time out in a caring and supportive environment can help you deal with the challenges and emotions that come with a new diagnosis, going through treatment, being in remission or supporting a loved one.
Alternatively, you could be a carer looking for some respite and emotional support. Taking on a role as a carer for a loved one can at times be tiring, challenging and highly emotional. Having someone there who understands what you are going through and can act as a sounding board without judgement can be invaluable in managing your own wellbeing.
Felbrigg Lodge provides a unique opportunity for you to find space & time to come to terms with a diagnosis or rest whilst going through treatment or recuperate after an illness, enabling you to regain your strength and confidence.
The peaceful and supportive surroundings of the lodge located in the glorious North Norfolk countryside perfectly complements the personal support provided by the Felbrigg Lodge CARES team.
We understand that every person’s journey is unique hence we provide individually tailored support led by qualified coach, Debi Haden. She can provide a safe and confidential space for you to share your thoughts, fears and emotions and is available for you, your family members and carers.
After your stay at Felbrigg Lodge, ongoing telephone, Skype or face to face support can be provided as an additional service.
About the People and Felbrigg…
Debi is a highly experienced, qualified coach who has supported hundreds of people through major life changes including illness. Since 2004 she has also provided psycho-social support for the British Red Cross on behalf of the Foreign Office to British nationals caught up in natural disasters, terrorist attacks and other traumatic events – most recently the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.
She supported her father with his end of life care and is also a carer for her mother who lives with dementia.
Felbrigg Lodge owners Philip, who is also recovering from cancer, and his wife Deedee, herself a carer for her mother, have together created a wonderful place for rest and recuperation.
Any special, dietary requirements can be accommodated and if you have other particular needs during your stay they will be carefully addressed by Felbrigg’s personable and attentive staff who will ensure that all aspects of your practical requirements are met.
Additionally, Sarah, the in-house therapist can provide a range of treatments, including massage support for those people living with or recovering from cancer.
